I was recently confronted with the simple trouble of removing a white background from a .jpeg paradigm for some web development work I was doing. While I know how to do this in Photoshop, I wanted to find a way to do it in Adobe Illustrator and then I could keep my workflow bars to a unmarried program.

There are many methods for removing backgrounds from images, and this method is just one that y'all tin apply within Illustrator. This method is effective for simple .jpeg images, simply less and so for photographs.   • Palette: Select Full Tone.

5. Review Your Prototype and Save

You should now have an image with a transparent groundwork. To save your background-free prototype, do 1 of the following:

  • Export the file as a .png past selecting File then Salvage As. Cull the .png suffix in the relieve window.
  • Select File then Save for Spider web to save the file in .png format.

Notation: Other file formats that support transparent backgrounds include .gif, .bmp, and .tiff.

I'm withal having some problem because my logo has white in information technology so the trace is detecting the white and when the trace is consummate in that location is a line going directly down the heart of where the white is in the logo. Any suggestions on how to adjust the trace parapmeters and then it doesn't notice the white in the logo?
